The Fourth Einkorn Wheat and Bio Food Fair is organized in Veliko Tarnovo on September, 12th. On Saturday, from 10 am, at the Herbalist Tearoom and Bakery the President of the Union of Herbalists in Bulgaria Emil Elmazov will talk about the latest research and finding related to this variety of wheat. It is said to have beneficiary effect for many medical conditions like fertility problems, low blood pressure and anaemia.
The motto under which this year’s event is going to be held is Einkorn is not a fashion, its eternity. The forum aims to introduce people to healthy eating; there will be also degustation of various bio products. Emil Elmazov said that interest in einkorn is on the rise and this year 10,000 hectares of the crop have been planted.
This year the fair is going to be split into two parts – a practical one and a theoretical one. Liliya Kostadinova will deliver a lecture entitled “The relationship between emotional and physical health – how we can help with natural products” and Yanko Yanev – “Bread – the wholesome food.”
Bio white cheese, cheese and yogurt, produced in a dairy in the village of Kmetovtsi will be presented at the health forum. The milk for these products is obtained from free 
range cow grazing in an einkorn and herb abundant pastures. There will also be demonstration of the technology behind their production, which is applied at the dairy farm and anyone interested will have the opportunity to try the food.
A workshop will also be organized this year; visitors will be able to try and make their own einkorn based homemade noodles. Entrance to Einkorn Fair is free.
