Knitting with corn husks or the so called belenitsa, will be shown in the Historical Museum of Gorna Oryahovitsa on 12th September. On Saturday the visitors of the museum will learn about the history of this craft and they can also take part in the workshops which will be set up and try to master the knitting.

Day of the Chicken Soup in the village of Kozarevets
The fifth edition of the Day of the Chicken Soup Culinary Feast (Den na kokoshata chorba) will be held on September 12, 2015 in the village of Kozarevets, near Veliko Tarnovo. The holiday is traditionally celebrated on the first Saturday after the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary which is marked on the fixed date of September, 8th. This Saturday the open fire pots for the chicken soup will be lit at 8.30 am at the park in front of the community centre in the village. Twelve culinary teams have submitted applications for participation – teams from Lyaskovets, Zlataritsa, Dzhulyunitsa, Dragizhevo, Dobri Dyal, Merdanya, Yantra, Strelets and Varbitsa.
Plum Festival in Troyan
This year the Festival of Plum in Troyan, near Veliko Tarnovo, will be held from 19 to 22 September.
The event will offer residents and visitors a rich folklore program with shows and concerts of various dance formations, Berkovska brass music, Trayana folklore ensemble and a youth night with the participation of instrumental groups.
Because of the great interest Tsarevgrad Tarnov Multimedia Visitor Centre, known as the Museum of wax figures from the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, is to grow with 2 more floors, Borba Newspaper reported.
The expansion will cover nearly 1000 sqm. The additional space will allow for more mock-ups of people, events and scenes related to our history to be presented, said the Mayor Daniel Panov.
The 13th edition of the International Crafts Fair begins at Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex
The 13th edition of the International Folk Crafts Fair will be held from 4 to 6 September at the Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex, near Gabrovo. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Municipality of Gabrovo and Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex. 75 artists from Bulgaria and 30 from Japan, South Korea, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Ukraine, Italy and Syria will demonstrate their crafts during the fair.
