New restrictive measures against the coronavirus in Bulgaria come into force today

Visitors are allowed for patients with a hospital stay of more than 5 days

As of today, June 22, visitors are allowed for patients with a hospital stay of more than 5 days, at the decision of the treating physician regarding the patient’s health condition and the risk of infection with COVID-19. This was ordered by the Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov with his new order. The ban on visits to medical establishments does not apply to visits of patients in the terminal stage. When visiting medical establishments, all anti-epidemic measures must be observed, including the wearing of protective masks. Also no more than one visitor per patient is allowed at a time.

As of a few days ago, Bulgaria is in the green zone on the EU map of the state of the COVID pandemic on the continent. For the last 24 hours the newly diagnosed with COVID-19 in Bulgaria are 120. The distribution by districts is as follows: Blagoevgrad – 9; Burgas – 1; Varna – 3; Veliko Tarnovo – 4; Vidin – 3; Vratsa – 4; Gabrovo – 3; Dobrich – 3; Kardzhali – 4; Kyustendil – 8; Lovech – 5; Montana – 1; Pernik – 1; Pleven – 2; Plovdiv – 11; Ruse – 3; Sliven – 2; Smolyan – 3; Sofia region – 5; Sofia city – 36; Stara Zagora – 5; Shumen – 1; Yambol – 3.

The total number of cases of coronavirus in our country is 421 152 with the active cases being 9 966. The cured people are already 393 186 of which 370 have been registered in the past 24 hours. There are 1,698 patients with COVID-19 in hospitals with 200 of them in intensive care. At present, a total of 1,668,677 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria with 8,505 of them applied during the last 24 hours. The death toll is 18,000. Ten new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
