A walnut festival is held in Dolna Oryahovitsa on 28.09, at 9:00 a.m.

The second edition of the Walnut Festival is part of the festivals in Veliko Tarnovo program

This exciting event will be held in the town square and will feature two main sections: culinary and folklore. The Walnut Festival is created by Petya Kirilova and Antonio Perez, whose vision is to expand it internationally. They aim to collaborate with Spanish municipalities from the Malaga region, which also celebrates a similar festival. Their goal is to make this a large-scale event. To draw visitors from across the country, including from Veliko Tarnovo and the surrounding areas. They hope guests will spend at least one full weekend in Dolna Oryahovitsa. And will enjoy the Walnut Festival and explore nearby Veliko Tarnovo.

Night of the Samovodska Charshiya and Veliko Tarnovo Festival of Crafts -18-23.09.2024

Veliko Tarnovo is once again the national center of the celebrations of the Independence of Bulgaria – September 22

An invariable part of the celebration is the big autumn festival “Night of the Samovodska Charshiya and Festival of Crafts”, which spans six nights from September 18 to 23 and turns the emblematic craft street into a festival arena with nearly 30 events. Over 80 will be the artisans who will show old-time techniques and products. Events include creative workshops, concerts, children’s theater, a fire show, textile painting, soap making and artisan baked goods, etc.

Nearly 340 participants from 8 countries will take the stage at the 26th International Folklore Festival in Veliko Tarnovo

The Summer Theater in the town center will host the event from July 20 to 27

The festival will feature ensembles from China, Cyprus, Mexico, Georgia, Uruguay, East Timor, Comoros and Bulgaria.

There are about 190 foreign participants, and nearly 150 Bulgarian participants, Yorgova said. For the first time in the festival, the audience will see representatives of Uruguay, East Timor and Comoros, she added.

The walking tour will last from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The beginning is from the square in front of the church “St. Dimitar”. The tour will go along the route: church “St. Dimitar” – Church “St. 40 Martyrs” – Church “St. St. Peter and Paul” – church “St. Ivan Rilski” – Tsarevets Architectural Museum Reserve.
