Stricter anti-epidemic measures aiming to reduce the cases of COVID-19 are coming into force from Thursday. The restrictions will affect all spheres of public life, and the health authorities assure that the control will be many times stricter than the one currently in force. All activities that are carried out indoors will be allowed only for people holding the so-called “green certificate”. This document is issued when the vaccination cycle is completed by the immunization centers or the personal doctor. The second option is to present a PCR or antigen test done 48 hours earlier or a document for illness up to a year back in time.

As of today, June 22, visitors are allowed for patients with a hospital stay of more than 5 days, at the decision of the treating physician regarding the patient’s health condition and the risk of infection with COVID-19. This was ordered by the Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov with his new order. The ban on visits to medical establishments does not apply to visits of patients in the terminal stage. When visiting medical establishments, all anti-epidemic measures must be observed, including the wearing of protective masks. Also no more than one visitor per patient is allowed at a time.
The Veliko Tarnovo region is in the safe green zone for infected, with data showing that the diagnosed people are 16,98 in 100 000. In the last two days, only a few cases of infection per day have been identified, and only 13 people are hospitalized. 82 people are treated at home, and 8906 managed to fight the infection. The death toll from the coronavirus is a total of 669. The most active cases in the district are in the municipality of Veliko Tarnovo – 36, in Zlataritsa there are two patients, and in Suhindol – only one.
