The 16th edition of Mindya Rock Fest will highlight local talent from the Veliko Tarnovo region, making it a true celebration of homegrown music. The festival’s lineup features BARKS, a band led by Deputy Mayor Neiko Genchev, along with the energetic youth from Error 404. Cold Shot Trio, hailing from Upper Oryahov, and the popular band The Drivers will also take the stage. In addition to these local favorites, the festival will feature performances by Vasko Krpkata, a Bulgarian rock icon, and the Greek band Sakis Dovolis Trio. Regulars like the “Magistri” group, who have played every year at Mindya Rock Fest, will once again captivate the audience, followed by the Plovdiv-based Atoluka Blues Cartel, who are known for their dynamic blues-rock performances.

Nearly 340 participants from 8 countries will take the stage at the 26th International Folklore Festival in Veliko Tarnovo

The Summer Theater in the town center will host the event from July 20 to 27

The festival will feature ensembles from China, Cyprus, Mexico, Georgia, Uruguay, East Timor, Comoros and Bulgaria.

There are about 190 foreign participants, and nearly 150 Bulgarian participants, Yorgova said. For the first time in the festival, the audience will see representatives of Uruguay, East Timor and Comoros, she added.
