Mindya Rock Fest returns to the square in the Veliko Tarnovo village of Mindya. After last year’s secret concert, which due to the pandemic was held without the usual large audience from all over the country, this time fans of the event will be able to enjoy a traditional edition of the music marathon. It will be within two days at the end of August and will include the participation of 10 groups.
The cultural calendar of Veliko Tarnovo this summer is constantly changing due to the emergency epidemic situation in the country. At the moment, some of the events are already underway, others are planned, and others have been postponed or will not take place. Those that still remain in the program will be without international participation and even without some of the pre-announced Bulgarian artists.
The third national rock festival – Hotalich, will take over the fortress in late August. After being named “the new rock capital of Bulgaria”, the organizers of the national rock festival “Hotalich” in Sevlievo near Veliko Tarnovo are striving to surpass the high bar they have set themselves. The festival is one of the most significant events for the municipality and is already present in the Cultural Calendar for the year. In addition to favourite Bulgarian bands, there is also a solid international presence in the festival.
