Veliko Tarnovo-Arbanasi road is being reconstructed, the government is financing the project

The reconstruction of the Veliko Tarnovo-Arbanasi road is already a fact: the drainage system installation is completed and the sections of the road exposed to landslide processes have been reinforced. The road is now being asphalted and the expectations are the work will be finished by the end of the month when the traffic between Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanasi will be restored as well. Veliko Tarnovo – Arbanasi road closed till the end of August

The planned reconstruction of the Veliko Tarnovo – Arbanasi road starts today (12.07.2016). Recently heavy boulders and mud from the slopes along the road collapsed onto 2 cars prompting authorities to take actions to secure the lot. Road signs will indicate the detour route.

People travelling from VT through Arbanasi to Gorna Oryahovitsa and vice versa should take the road passing through Sheremetya.  Closed for the entire time will be the lot from the water tap at the chine all the way to the fork at Mavrikov Factory. The road is said to be open on the way to the fork at Mavrikov Factory. The road is said to be open on September, 1st.

The road connecting Polikraishte-Elena-Sliven to be thoroughly rehabilitated

Road ІІ-53 Polikraishte-Elena-Sliven is to be renovated with European funding. Road Infrastructure Agency has already drawn a project and is to apply for funding for the new programme period 2014- 2020.

The first lot to be fixed is in Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality – 6.7 km passing through Gorna Oryahovitsa, Parvomaytsi and Polikraishte.

The Aleksandrovski Bridge close to Parvomaytsi is also included in the project and it will be fortified with gabions.  The two villages will receive new asphalt, curbs and sidewalks.
