Enjoy the Sound and Light Show with a glass of champagne

Untitled1Every Saturday of August and September the Tsarevgrad Tarnov Municipal Tourism Agency offers the residents and guests of Veliko Tarnovo the unique opportunity to watch the Tsarevgrad Tarnovo – Sound and Light Audio-Visual Show with a glass of wine from the VIP terrace overlooking Tsarevets Fortress at the cost of 16 leva. On 15th, 22nd and 29th August the attraction can be seen from 9.30 pm; on 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th September 2015 the show will be aired from 9 pm.

Tickets can be purchased from the Tourist Information Centre near the main post office or on-line at www.soundandlight.bg.

Car racing and drift show in Veliko Tarnovo town centre

volkicThe second round of V1 Challenge Bulgaria Road Racing Championship will be held in Veliko Tarnovo on August 9 / Sunday / from 4 pm till 8 pm. The unique event will happen in the very centre of the town – at Mother Bulgaria Square. The makeshift track will be 650 m long. Everyone is sure to feel the adrenaline rush watching the Volkicars racing and the drift show that is to follow.

A jazz concert near Asenevtsi Monument for you to enjoy

posterTomorrow, August 6, Thursday, from 9 pm world-famous jazz musicians will gather in a quartet to entertain the citizens and guest of Veliko Tarnovo – the venue being Asenevtsi Monument. The famous Bulgarian jazz drummer Dimitar Dimitrov is the initiator of the quartet. The other three musicians are Matt B. Marantz – saxophone, who has performed with the likes of Terence Blanchard, Herbie Hancock, Jack DeJohnette and Jason Moran.; Alex Goodman – guitar, who won the award for best guitarist in Montreux last summer and his last album was nominated for a Grammy award and Georgi Georgiev – bass. For the last 20 years he’s been living and performing in the US. Before he left Bulgaria, he was a bass teacher and lecturer in jazz history lecturer at the National Academy of Music and New Bulgaria University. Dimitar Dimitrov himself is one of the prime European drummers who divides his time between the US and Bulgaria and has worked with a number of international stars including Randy Brecker and Michel Legrand. Admission to the concert is free.
